Here’s the truth about Rich Cordray: As our nation’s consumer watchdog, he got back an incredible $12 billion for people cheated out of their money by Wall Street fraudsters and big corporations.
Instead of applauding Rich for helping 30 million Americans, Donald Trump did what he always does: hurled childish insults and defended big corporations, CEOs, and wealthy guys like himself.
With so much corruption coming from the Trump Administration and big financial institutions, Rich is the exact kind of leader we need.
I’ve seen his doggedness and determination first-hand.
In the wake of the financial crisis, Rich was serving as the head of the CFPB while I served as California’s Attorney General. Rich and I worked closely to hold predatory lenders accountable and save people’s homes.
Ohioans deserve a governor who fights like that when they need him most. That’s why I’m proud to stand up for Rich in this make or break moment for his campaign.
