The Trump Administration is currently looking for a new FBI Director. One name that's been mentioned is former Senator Joe Lieberman.
I have a few thoughts about that. The most important of which is this: No way.
Joe Lieberman is a politician. He has no real law enforcement credentials. This post needs someone with the know-how to run investigations independent of politics -- especially now, with Trump's ties to Russia under a microscope.
After retiring from the senate, Lieberman went to work for a law firm that represents Donald Trump.
He is too divisive a nominee at a time we need to restore our commitment that justice does not have a political party.
