Received this e-mail today from DSCC Chairman, U.S. Senator Jon Tester (D. MT), in support of former Governor Ted Strickland’s (D. OH) U.S. Senate campaign:
Ted Strickland (D. OH)
A friend needs our help.
Ted Strickland won his primary in Ohio this week. Now the real work to win the general election begins.
Special interests have been attacking Ted since he announced his campaign. Dark money groups and his opponent have already spent up to $13 million to defeat him. And now that the race to November has officially begun, those special interests will come out stronger than ever.
Ted’s Team wants to be ready. So they’re holding a Buckeye Victory Moneybomb -- a day of online action where allies (like you and me) come together to help boost Ted’s grassroots efforts.
Ok, so he’s not from Montana -- but Ted knows the value of hard work.
Ted was raised in Appalachia, one of nine children. He was the first in his family to make it to college. He’s a former minister, prison psychologist, congressman, and governor.
Nobody works harder for the middle class families of Ohio than Ted Strickland. He would be a strong ally in the Senate. We just need to put in a little work of our own to get him there.
