IL, OH, & NC-Sen: Council For A Livable World Wastes No Time Helping These Dems Get Ready To Win

Received this e-mail today from the Council for a Livable World:

Yesterday was a very good day for Council-endorsed Senate candidates.

All three candidates easily won their primaries with over 60% of the vote, and they’ve been given a great boost for the November election.

The general election lineups:

  • Illinois – Tammy Duckworth  (64% of the primary vote) vs. Sen. Mark Kirk (R)
  • Ohio – Ted Strickland (65% of the primary vote) vs. Sen. Rob Portman (R)
  • North Carolina – Deborah Ross (63% of the primary vote) vs. Sen. Richard Burr (R)

Please consider helping Tammy, Ted and Deborah with a generous contribution to their general election campaign.

These three contests provide an opportunity to take three seats from hawks in the Senate and move closer to a majority of advocates for sensible foreign policy.

All three Republican opponents are still fighting against the Iran nuclear agreement, and all three signed the completely inappropriate letter initiated by Sen. Tom Cotton (R) intended to derail the negotiations.

But Tammy, Ted, and Deborah have strongly backed the deal because they know diplomacy is always preferable to war.

Will you donate $5, $15 or $25 to continue Tammy Duckworth’s, Ted Strickland’s and Deborah Ross’s momentum?

Thank you for helping these candidates.

Sincerely,
