The craziness of these proposed state bills is pretty obvious. Let's begin with part two:
- Arizona: The Senate approved a bill enabling the creation of a state militia other than the National Guard "for any reason the governor considers to be necessary."
- Florida: Sen. Jim Norman filed a bill to "make photographing farms without the written consent of the owner a first-degree felony." Persons found guilty of a first-degree felony in the state face up to 30 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Additionally, Sen. John Thrasher and Rep. Patrick Rooney introduced bills to require the state recreation agency to build golf courses in Florida's state-owned parks.
- Georgia: Rep. Bobby Franklin introduced a bill that has the potential to punish women for miscarriages. It declares that women who cannot disprove any "human involvement whatsoever in the causation" of their miscarriages could be prosecuted for "prenatal murder" and potentially be given the death penalty.
- Tennessee: Sen. Bill Ketron introduced a bill to "make following Sharia Law a felony punishable by 15 years in jail." The bill is part of a nation-wide effort against Sharia that can largely be attributed to the activism of a white racist based in Arizona. Of additional note is a bill the Senate recently passed amending the state constitution to prohibit both the state government and all municipalities from implementing an income tax.
