All night long many of us emailed, bantered and reviewed how to place upon DK - issues germane in our quest for justice. But that effort and works near and dear to our heart (and life savings) is not worth 1/1000th of the merit of what Illinois Governor Pat Quinn said he is going to do today.
The Illinois Governor has publicly declared that he will, for his great state - sign legislation today to Repeal the Death Penalty in the state of ILL!Please see Wall Street Journal Law Blog story by Nathan Koppel ( here) that states;
“Illinois, I think we’ll be on the right side of history,” state legislator Karen Yarbrough, the bill’s chief House sponsor, told the newspaper.
