Help me raise $500,000 for Dems nationally. You read that right.

Most of you know me as the ACA/healthcare guy.

What you may not know is that I’ve also been moonlighting as a Democratic candidate fundraiser.

Over the past year or so, I’ve been creating “slate” fundraising pages via ActBlue to raise money for literally hundreds of Democratic candidates for both federal and state races.

For 2019, I raised over $12,000 for Virginia legislative races which helped flip both the state House and Senate, giving Democrats a blue trifecta, as well as $2,500 for various races in Kentucky, Louisiana & Mississippi. Those didn’t go so well, of course, although we did keep or flip the Governor’s offices in two of the three.

That was just the appetizer, however. For 2020, I’ve already raised another $193,000 to date, including:

• Over $125,000 for U.S. Senate races

• Nearly $42,000 for vulnerable U.S. House Democrats

• Over $10,000 to help flip dozens more close U.S. House seats

• Nearly $6,000 to help flip long-shot U.S. House seats

And that’s just at the federal level.

I’m also working to flip more state legislatures like we did in Virginia.

So far, I’ve raised:

• Over $3,000 to flip the Michigan House blue

• Around $1,000 to flip the Texas House blue

• Over $2,000 to flip Wisconsin seats blue

• $300 to flip Ohio seats blue

• $100 to flip West Virginia seats blue

All told, that’s over $200,000 to date on my way towards my goal of $500,000 by November.

In most cases the money goes to specific candidates. In some cases it goes to whoever the eventual nominee ends up being. In other cases it goes to the state Democratic party until a nominee is decided (at which point I’ll swap it out to go to the nominee).
