There was another rally today against Senate Bill 5 at the Ohio Statehouse today, the biggest yet. I heard that the crowd estimate was 20,000 ("at least 8,500" according to the Republican newspaper Columbus Dispatch). It started sometime before noon. I got there a bit late, around 2pm, and sign-carrying people were already walking down the sidewalks back to their cars, but there was still a large crowd maybe half that size still listening to the remaining speeches followed by a performance by the Street Dogs to wrap things up around 3:30.
The Republican-controlled Ohio Senate did not take a vote on the bill originally scheduled today. Another rally is planned for tomorrow, and judging by many comments, for as long as it takes.
