OH-Gov: Cordray (D) Slams DeWine (R) For Refusing To Protect OH Elections From Russian Hackers

Received this e-mail today from Richard Cordray’s (D. OH) gubernatorial campaign:

 

Every time Donald Trump does something to hurt Ohio and our country, Mike DeWine goes missing.

First, DeWine refused to fight back when the Trump administration tried to rollback health care protections for pre-existing conditions. Then he refused to call out the Trump administration for ripping families apart at the border. Now, DeWine is completely silent on Trump’s disgraceful meeting with Vladimir Putin yesterday.

If Mike DeWine won’t say it, I will. There’s no “both sides” when it comes to dealing with a brutal dictator like Vladimir Putin. Our President must do everything in his power to support law enforcement efforts to protect our democracy from foreign attacks.

Join me in calling on Mike DeWine to stand up to President Trump and make sure we do all we can to protect Ohio’s elections.

Russians didn’t just attack national Democrats and the DNC, they attacked voter databases all over the country—including here in Ohio.

But Mike DeWine is so afraid of losing Trump’s political support that he won’t call him out to make sure these attacks never happen again.

Protecting free and fair elections is too important to play politics and it’s time for Mike DeWine to do his job and stand up for Ohio.
