Stormy Daniels was arrested late Wednesday night by Ohio vice police at a strip club where Daniels was performing. The charge is that she allowed patrons to “touch” her during her performance, violating a 2007 law. Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti says this is a set up, saying “it was an absurd use of law enforcement resources.” Avenatti explains that Daniels’s act has been consistent as she tours the country performing; and Ohio has set up a sting in order to punish Daniels. Avenatti says Stormy will fight these charges and told reporters that the whole situation “reeks of desperation,” on the part of Trump and his minions. TMZ spoke to sources that seem to agree with Avenatti’s assessment.
A source connected with the club where Stormy performed tells TMZ, the undercover vice officers waited in the back of the club for Stormy to take the stage, and it looked clear to her they were gunning for Trump's nemesis.
TMZ is not the most reliable source but they aren’t the National Enquirer either. Daniels makes her living doing appearances and dancing around the country. It’s a lucrative business, especially right now that her name’s profile has become attached to the president of the United States. However, the current president of the United States is a most unsavory and uncivil character, prone to the abuse of power, and petty to his core. But what we are watching is how the state implements the silencing of threats to the state. It’s fascism.
