OH-Sen: Jason Kander Refuses To Let Fake Populist Trump Defeat Real Populist Sherrod Brown (D)

Received this e-mail today from former Secretary of State, Veteran and U.S. Senate candidate, Jason Kander (D. MO), in support of U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown’s (D. OH) re-election campaign:

It seems like a very simple idea. In a democracy, all of us count.

Throughout our history, we've fought hard for that idea. In 1965, thousands began their march from Selma, Alabama to the capitol in Montgomery to fight for that idea.

Unfortunately, the Trump administration and Republicans across the country still don't seem to understand that all of us count. All of our voices should be heard. So Republicans rig the system, excluding voters who don't vote Republican.

This fight has been especially prevalent in Ohio, where Trump's Justice Department threw its support behind damaging voter roll purges.

And where the Trump administration is aiming to defeat Senator Sherrod Brown -- a staunch defender of the right to vote.

Sherrod's fighting like hell for Ohio -- and that includes keeping access to polls open and accessible. He has a big FEC deadline at the end of the month, and I'm hoping I can convince you to pitch in $5, $10, or more to help get him to his $320,000 goal.

If elections in this country were based on which side has the better ideas, Sherrod would have this in the bag. No one works harder for Ohio families than he does.

But elections aren't just about ideas anymore -- they're about money, too. Trump-allied special interests have a lot of money to spend and no qualms about spending it. Sherrod is one of their top targets.

Sherrod is a champion for the right to vote -- but he can't defend it as well from his couch in Cleveland. We need him in the U.S. Senate.

Chip in $5 or more toward Sherrod's FEC goal.
