OH-Gov: Pillich (D) Keeps Up The Calls For Independent Investigation Into Trump's Ties To Russia

Received this e-mail today from Connie Pillich’s (D. OH) gubernatorial campaign:

In the Air Force, one of our core values is “integrity first.” It’s something that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately in light of the horrifying revelations about foreign influence in the Trump administration.

The evidence is damning -- from sweetheart deals for Trump and his family from foreign governments to undisclosed contacts with Russian and other foreign agents. Naming a special counsel is a good first step, but we need a fully independent commission to investigate the level of foreign influence throughout the Trump administration.  

We can’t stand for this attack on American values. Will you join me and sign our petition to tell Congress to appoint an independent commission to investigate foreign influence in the Trump administration?

As a veteran, I know firsthand the impact of our national security decisions. I’ve already publicly announced that I won’t let members of the Ohio National Guard become pawns in any kind of coverup action that Donald Trump may take.
 

In these uncertain and dangerous times, it’s never been more important for Ohio to have a voice. I pledge to you that as governor, I’ll never stop holding Trump accountable for his actions and I’ll do everything in my power to prevent Ohio families from being caught in Trump’s machinations.

We need an independent commission, and we need one now. Join me and add your name to tell Congress that we need an independent commission to conduct a full investigation.
