You need to act. Now. Yes, YOU! Yes, NOW!

Tomorrow is the first election for Congress in 2016, the special election in Ohio’s 8th Congressional District. And WE can win this election. And it’s really WE, because KossackCorey Foister is the Democratic candidate.

Short background of the race: This is John Boehner’s old seat. After Boehner retired following his ouster as Speaker of the House, a special election was scheduled. On the Republican side, Warren Davidson, who wants to become a member of the Freedom Caucus in the House, won a 15-person primary. On the Democratic side, only Corey threw his hat in the ring.

Why Corey can win: Normally, this is a safe Republican district. But this is a special election, and it is the only election on the ballot. Therefore, all bets are off. The Republican primary was on the day of Ohio’s presidential primary. More than 134,000 people voted in the Republican primary alone. But as of yesterday, just two days before election day, only about 2,000 used the early voting option.

There aren’t many Democrats in OH-08. But there are more than enough Democrats in OH-08 to win a low-turnout special election. WE just need to get them to the polls. YOU can help with that.

Here are five things YOU can do right NOW to help Corey take the win:

1) Contact people you know in OH-08

Ohio's 8th congressional district sits on the west side of Ohio, bordering Indiana. The cities of Hamilton, Fairfield, Middletown, Springfield, Eaton, Greenville, Piqua, Troy, and parts of Dayton, Riverside, and Wright Patterson Air Force Base are part of the district.

If you know anybody who lives in this district: Contact them. Tell them about tomorrow’s election. Tell them about Corey. Ask them to vote. If necessary, give them information where they can vote. The polls are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

2) Help Corey via social media

Interacting with Corey on social media will make him more visible to voters in his district.

Corey on FaceBook: Give the site a like, like his status updates and write something encouraging.

Corey on Twitter: Follow him, heart his tweets, retweet him.

Corey on Instagram: Follow him, like his updates, comment.

3) Get the presidential campaigns involved

The presidential campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have huge e-mail lists. They could and should send an e-mail to everybody on their list who lives in OH-08. Maybe they can even do a FaceBook post on Corey. Please contact the campaign of your choice (or both) and ask them nicely to give a final push to Corey.
