Let me start off by saying that I would never use a title such as the one I am using here — really. I just don’t think it’s appropriate. No need for name calling.
But, in this case, I’m quoting somebody famous (or, rather, infamous): Glenn Beck, who is going bonkers over the fact that Kasich, by continuing his Quixotic quest, is helping Trump secure the GOP nomination.
"This guy is going to be remembered as a guy who possibly destroyed the Republic," Beck said. "Kasich, I mean, excuse my language, but, you son of a bitch, the Republic is at stake. This is not like a normal race. The Republic is at stake!"
Actually, I’m not so sure the Republic is at stake (that would assume a Trump win, right?). What at stake is not the Republic, but the Republican Party as we know it. (Good riddance, in my view).
Which brings to mind one of the cardinal rules of politics: when your opponents are fighting with each other . . . let them.
