Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Al Franken (D. MN):
Sen. Al Franken (D. MN)
It’s that time again: Time to highlight some of our outstanding MVPs for 2016. Today, we’re going with a “red to blue” theme. Each of these MVPs has a real shot at defeating an incumbent Republican and helping Democrats take back the Senate in 2016. Ann Kirkpatrick -- Arizona
When Ann first announced she was running, the press seemed a little skeptical. After all, Arizona is Arizona, and she’s up against a 30+ year incumbent.
But guess what? Ann’s stunned them all. A recent poll shows that she’s surged since November and is now statistically TIED with her opponent. If her grassroots strength can keep up, she can pull ahead.
This is the time where our help can do Ann a LOT of good. Chip in $5 or more to help her campaign.

You can’t say enough about what a great Democrat and leader Ted is. He’s spent his entire career fighting for working families on the state and federal level.
His Senate race is one of the Democrats' best chances to pick up a Republican-held seat this year. Since we need about five of those to take back control of the chamber, Ted’s race is especially important.
Maggie is without a doubt one of the hardest working folks around. The right wing was attacking her even before she jumped into her Senate race, and she did it anyway. That takes guts.
Everyone is saying that the outcome of Maggie’s race could determine which party controls the Senate next year. We want that to be Democrats -- and we want Maggie to be a part of it.
