Ohio state Representative John Becker wants Federal District Court Judge Timothy S, Black impeached for indicating that he is going to rule in favor of four gay couples in Ohio who want him to force Ohio to recognize their out of state marriages. Judge Black stated in a hearing last week that he intended to rule on or before April 14 and in favor of the four gay couples. The case is Henry v Hines. Ohio Governor John Kasich has stated that he intends to appeal the ruling.
In an epic display of arrogance and incompetence, Judge Black announced that he will require the people of Ohio to disregard the Ohio Constitution and force the recognition of 'homosexual marriages' performed outside of Ohio, Becker's office said in a statement. He persists in allowing his personal political bias to supersede jurisprudence. Some of you might recall that last year Judge Black ruled that Ohio must recognize the out of state marriages of gay couples on death certificates. After that ruling, state Rep. Becker introduced a resolution in the Ohio House calling on the US House to begin impeachment proceedings against Judge Black. That case is now before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. The case is Obergefell v Hines.
