Is a World Without Nuclear Weapons Possible?

What would a world without nuclear weapons look like and is it possible? The answer to these two questions is that it would look about the same as it does today, and it seems unlikely that it is possible. The reason we seek a world without nuclear weapons has to do with the origins of the movement which is fading from living memory. As it fades, popular advocacy is fading along with it.
