Insurmountable Gap in PA

Early this year while promoting the passage of Pennsylvania Voter ID law, Governor Tom Corbett and Secretary of State Carol Aichele insisted that only one percent of registered voters - over 80,000 citizens - would need to get a voter ID.

Released during the July 4th holiday, an analysis by the Department of State showed that 759,000 registered voters - 9.2 percent - lacked a PA driver's license or state ID.

At the end of July, University of Washington political scientist Matt Barreto testified at the trial challenging the state's voter ID law that 1.2-1.5 million registered voters - 12.8 percent - in PA do not meet the law's requirements.

The Corbett "administration said that through Tuesday, it had issued only 9,478 of its [voter ID] cards." (http://www.pennlive.com/...)

Looks like Mission Impossible to us, but we at VoteRiders are doing everything we can to support the citizens of PA and the local organizations that are helping them obtain their voter ID.  We encourage you to reach out and assist them as well as citizens in other states with their voter IDs!  Please sign up for the VoteRiders Pledge to Take a Friend to the DMV. You'll then receive more information on how to obtain a voter ID in the 31 states that currently require one.
