4:03 PM PT (David Nir): Not sure why Virginia hasn't been called yet—the exit polls show Mitt Romney winning 63-37 over Ron Paul. (Remember, only those two made it on to the ballot.)

4:29 PM PT: One of the oddities of our media-driven primary system is that candidates get very little benefit out of performing per expectations. Romney won Arizona last week? Ho hum. It was expected. He won Michigan? HOLY SHIT! That's amazing!
As for tonight, no one cares about Romney winning Virginia and Vermont, and no one cares that Gingrich won Georgia. It all comes down to Ohio -- the true tossup of the evening.
If Santorum holds Ohio, he has an excuse to keep going. He's still not going to get the nomination, but at least he has an excuse. If Romney wins it? Then this thing is pretty much over now, as opposed to later.
